Delivering digital files: for photographers

Digital files, every client wants to have them.
How do you deliver them?
Up until a few years ago I burned the images on a disc and shipped it to my clients. However, most new computers don’t even have a disc player anymore.
So I changed to a USB drive and a beautiful online gallery with download option.

I still deliver a USB because I love giving tangible products to my clients. Something with cute packaging and ribbons :-) The USB drive they can store away safely while they can enjoy viewing, downloading and sharing the images via their own online gallery.

I use PASS for this and I absolutely love it. It’s very easy to use, both for me and for my clients. It has a beautiful interface, on mobile devices as well as on desktop computers.

Clients can favorite their images very easily by just clicking on the heart on the bottom of each image.
You can protect the images from public viewing and public downloading if that’s what you prefer and just give your clients access.
The client then gets VIP rights and can login with their email address and a password of their choice.

I also use the gallery to let my clients select their favorite images for their album.
Once I login to the app on my Mac, I go to their gallery and can see which images they’ve picked. Even better: I can download them all with one click of a button, making my life a heck of a lot easier!
No more lists with photo numbers to go through but a much easier solution, for both me and my clients.

PASS also has an app for your smartphone or tablet, which you download in the store.
Your clients will then have their images with them at all times and can show them off at any time as well!

When they share an image from the gallery, you will be credited automatically as the photographer.
There’s also a link to your website available on each gallery. If a client clicks on the camera symbol they will see your logo, your business name plus a link to your site.

Each gallery is backed up for 10 years ensuring your client’s images are stored safely in the cloud for that period of time.

I love using this system, for more info about pricing and all the lovely details, check out their website.
